A video playlist is a great way to showcase a series of tutorials, case studies, or event highlights. Instead of embedding a massive YouTube playlist, a custom slider allows you to style the thumbnails exactly how you want.
To solve this, use Div Render Container Slider for Elementor.
Step 1: Setup Video Slides
Create a parent Container. inside, add child Containers.
Inside each child, place the Video Widget. Set your source (YouTube, Vimeo, or Self Hosted).
Alternatively, use an Image Widget with a “Play” icon overlay that links to a popup, if you want to keep the page lighter.
Step 2: Slider Settings
Enable Slider Mode.
- Slides Per View:
3is standard for video galleries. - Pause on Interaction: Enable this setting. It ensures that if a user clicks to play a video (or interacts with the slider), the Autoplay logic stops, preventing the slider from jerking away while they are watching.
Pro Tips for Video Sliders
- Lazy Load: Enable “Lazy Load” on the videos to prevent the page from loading 10 YouTube iframes at once, which kills performance.
- Lightbox: For the best experience, link the thumbnail images to a Lightbox rather than playing inline. This keeps the slider clean.
