Autoplay is great for visibility, but annoying if it interrupts reading. Standard UX practice dictates that if a user touches or hovers over a slider, it should stop moving.

To solve this, use Div Render Container Slider for Elementor.

Step 1: Pause on Hover

In the Slider Settings > Autoplay section:
Toggle Pause on Hover to Yes.
This ensures that as long as the mouse cursor is over the container, the slide won’t change.

Step 2: Pause on Interaction

Toggle Pause on Interaction to Yes (default) or No.
Yes (Recommended): If the user manually swipes or clicks an arrow, Autoplay stops permanently (or until they leave, depending on logic) so they can take control.
No: Autoplay resumes after they finish swiping. This is aggressive but useful for “Ticker” style sliders.

Pro Tips for Pausing

  • Video Content: If your slides contain video, Pause on Interaction is mandatory so the video doesn’t slide away while playing.
