Sliders are great for teasers. Often, the desired action is not to navigate away, but to open a popup with more info.
To solve this, use Div Render Container Slider for Elementor.
Step 1: The Button
Add a Button widget inside your slide.
In the Button Link settings, click Dynamic Tags > Actions > Popup.
Select the popup you created.
Step 2: The Conflict
Sliders rely on drag events. Sometimes clicking a button inside a draggable slider can be misinterpreted as a drag.
- Pause on Interaction: Ensure this is ON.
- Z-Index: If clicks aren’t registering, ensure the button has a higher z-index than the slide overlay (if any).
Pro Tips for Popups
- Video Modals: This is the best pattern for video galleries. Show a lightweight image thumbnail in the slider, and open the heavy YouTube video in a popup on click.
